13/06/21 -- Merrivale Stone Rows, Foggintor Quarry, Ingra Tor, Davytown & Longash

This is a 6 mile moderate gradient walk from the Four Winds car park - grid ref: SX 561 749. The terrain will consist of moorland, stony paths, tarmac lanes, cattle grid, quite a few farm gates and it will be muddy in places. This walk provides great views of Vixen Tor and Pew Tor across the valley - weather permitting.
We will head towards the car park opposite the Pump House on the B3357 to reach a stony path and head towards Yellowmeade Farm. From there we will head towards Foggintor Quarry to an old dismantled Princetown branch line heading towards Ingra Tor. From there we will go across a grassy moor on to a tarmac lane which starts to go downhill to Criptor Cross. We will turn right going towards Davytown. Here the path turns stony as we head towards Longash and uphill to the Merrivale Stone Rows and back to the Four Winds car park.
Meeting points: For a car convoy - Depart from the Erme Court car park, Ivybridge at 9.00 am. The walk will start at 10.00 am from the Four Winds car park - details shown above.
