21/04/19 -- Beesands

Meet at Beesands car park at 10.00 am. Parking is free. Public toilets. Grid ref: SX 819 405.

A scenic 6.5 miles coastal walk with scintillating seaside views (weather permitting!). We will be leaving Beesands and following the South West Coastal Path, past the 'lost' village of Hallsands, and diverting to Start Point Lighthouse for a coffee stop. From there we will rejoin the path and walk around the rugged headland where, if we're lucky, we may spot seals, dolphins and/or birds of prey. We then head steeply uphill to Start Farm car park and retrace our steps back to Beesands.

A mainly moderate walk but some extended steep climbs in a couple of places. Mainly coastal path and green lanes and we will cross some tarmac and beach and shingle too.

Debrief at the Cricket Inn.

Meet at the Watermark car park for car share at 8.45 am.
